Need a new X58 mobo

So it seems that i have somehow killed the Sata controller on my Classy. I don't know how it happened, but it truly is the controller. I keep getting the wonderful bzbzbzbz bzbzbzbzbzb at startup and then after refreshing the system a couple times it goes away and I'm able to run my computer. Eventually she locks up and I get the same problem. I have run a plethora of tests and it isn't the hard drive, and because it is intermittent it comes down to the controller being buggy.

So my question is, I need a new motherboard. Money is kinda tight right now, so I may not have the cash required to drop on a newer Classy 3 mobo, but the feature set of my current Classy is what I'm interested in. So what is recommended in this price bracket that possibly has some newer features like Sata Rev 3 and USB 3?

The ASUS Rampage III Formula would be a good choice IMO.

I never registered and I bought the mobo a year ago, so I think I am over the RMA warranty timeline. I'll try it out though.

EDIT: Scratch that. I did register it! I actually did something intelligent for once. I'll try out the RMA road and see where that takes me. I just hope I'm not out on my computer for a month, but that is likely what will happen.

Yeah, I don't think you'll be able to RMA unless EVGA is feeling rather kind. lol it looks like you're going to need a new board.

Did you try flashing to a different BIOS?
