I wouldnt get the 1100T. .1GHz isnt worth the extra $40. My 1090T can run 4.2 easily on a Noctua NH-D14.

1090Ts are still pretty good, it's similar to the 955 vs 965/970 debate which is why most people are getting 955s. Now, the 955 vs 965/970 is a 200/300Mhz difference, it's debatable and there may be a difference there, but the 1100T is only 100Mhz faster. I wouldn't consider it fully worth it either unless 1090T goes off the shelf or you get a decent price.

Most of them can actually be reflashed into 6970 with unlocked shaders without problems. I've seen a few problems with the memory speeds on some of them, though.

Yeah, I saw that, too, but I'm reluctant to recommend others to flash their GPU's because I know a good amount of people are reporting some pretty bad artifacting.

However, there seems to be a solution posted in the hardware news thread about this.

Well i placed my order last night so now its only a matter of time of waiting ...erhh... going to use my old cpu case wich held a asus sli premium wich held a amd 2.2 ghz cpu....

i only bought 1 graphic card and 4gigs of ram but going to add the more latter in about a month or two...

so if i flash the card they will perform the just the same as the 6970?

also the 6950 card are these these aroudn the top end cards that ati makes now for home pcs for gamming? and im guessing 6970 is the best right?

These cards have a dual BIOS, so there's no risk even for a beginner.
