Nor any other stupid s*** like that. Yeah... sign in like a zombie to read all that s*** every 5 min? Yeah, I'll pass, thanks.

"deerp, i can haz 5 pokes, and grow 6 tomatoes in Farmville, hurr I just ate a burrito 15 min ago, giggle."

Yeah, way to sugarcoat it.
Yes because when I go onto my Facebook page I force myself to read this mindless dribble you speak of
You do realize that you can hide such updates, correct? If you were griping about privacy (as Finjy Opops kindly pointed out), I wouldn't mind as much. As it's a legitimate reason to gripe. But to be annoyed by something that your friends are posting (as if you accept their request, you are indeed acknowledging the fact that they are your friend), then I don't quite honestly know what to tell you. It's your own damn fault for letting that crap get to you.
I have many great discussions on Facebook all the time. I ignore the bull crap posts and Farmville stuff. I don't like it, and so I HIDE those posts. Now it doesn't bother me.
So get over yourself and your overinflated opinion, because Facebook is a great service that just happens to have retarded people on it.

There are many valid reasons to dislike or not use Facebook, privacy concerns chief among them. Claiming its entire user base are a bunch of mindless zombies is not.
The only two reasons to have a facebook are:
1) Find out about parties
2) Hit on chicks

at least 75% of FB is flooded with app messages, pointless status updates, and drama.

Facebook is just the next myspace, it's not a big deal if people don't have one. You getting mad just because some of us think it's pointless is ridiculous. Most people that have over 200 friends don't know them all. Facebook is just another popularity contest.

Off-topic: Is calling someone a child or mindless really necessary? I don't come to this website to hate on people, I come here for the tech damn it! Take your drama back to social networking WHERE IT BELONGS.

By next year, Facebook will basically fall off the list, especially if they keep changing the user interface and morphing it into something both bloated and unusable, which they excel at.

Of course, Google's latest stunt is classic - where it wallops bandwidth and eats into the cap as it downloads pages and pages of data while you are typing in a search term. Google has jumped the shark - only if Bing didn't suck as much...

As long as they keep churning out those insanely addictive(to some people) games, they aren't going anywhere but up. We think they are retarded and not classified as games, but the vast, vast majority of people are eating them up and will continue to do so most likely. This and the ease of communicating and gossiping with people you otherwise would probably never talk to if it wasn't for FB will ensure its future success.

Do you have any proof on those numbers, or did you just pull that out of your ass? I've never had a problem with facebook. Everyone uses it as it was intended, at least my friends. None of it is really useless information. I guess you know everything?

No, that isn't it. Do you not understand what Facebook is meant to be?

If that's what bothers you so much, BLOCK IT. You have the ability to do that. I ignore all game requests and I block all annoying popups on my News Feed (you can make those things NEVER appear again, you know), and I still manage to find tons of interesting things to comment on and talk about.

I'm getting mad because of the overzealous opinions you people are using. That's what I'm mad about. I could care less if you have or don't have a Facebook account. But if you do, I'd rather your opinion was based on actual facts instead of numbers that were pulled straight out of your ASS.

I agree. And I'm constantly telling people on Facebook that very same thing. So you know what I do? I only friend people that I've actually spoken with. SHOCKING. YOU CAN REJECT FRIEND REQUESTS.
