Gtx570 bios ?

Thread Starter
I see alot of people with 570s talking about a 1.2 volt bios with 100% fan control. I have not oc'd my card yet but I'd like to take it up a notch or 2 . I ran my gtx280 @ 720/1512/1323 by simply using evga precision, so as far as running my 570 around 825 do I need to flash the bios or no, if I do, then what all do I need to do ? Thanks for the help

Its the same usual stuff. OC, test to see if its stable, if yes OC more, if not back off. Voltmodding will always give you some more headroom and if you don't apply 3v to the gpu and keep and eye out for temps you should be all good. You can still use precison but i like the msi afterburner more.

The only BIOS update that EVGA has currently released is meant to increase the fan speed range. At stock, the card's fan speed only goes from 40-80%. The BIOS update effectively widens that range to 30-100%, which will help with quietness or help maintain better temps at maximum overclocks, should you feel the need.

In terms of voltages, there are no official BIOS updates (to my knowledge) that alter these values in any way, shape, or form. There are, however, user-made releases that are available if you look for them, if you really want to go down that path. But be wary of those as you could brick your card if you're not careful about what it can reliably tolerate.

Honestly, your best bet is to stick with EVGA Precision or try MSI Afterburner for any sort of GPU overclocking, especially when it comes to messing around with voltages.
