OCZ Agility 2 vs OCZ Vertex 2 vs Mushkin Enhanced Callisto Deluxe - all 60gb

Thread Starter
Vertex 2 - 119.99 on amazon
Callisto Deluse - 129.99 on amazon

or

OCZ Agility 2 109.99$ at Microcenter after 20$ rebate.

Is there any reason to get the vertex 2 or Callisto over the Agility 2? They all claim 285/275 speeds. I read somewhere that the Agility 2 has 10k IOPS and the Vertex 2 has 50k IOPS. What does this mean?

My personal opinion would be to wait for the next series of drive. If you haven't been looking around intel has been dropping their prices on their drives which should indicate the next series is upon us. ( I could be wrong )

If you have to purchase now go with the vertex 2.

The Agility is limited to 10K IOPS. The Crucial C300 is better than all of those. The vertex 2 and the Muskin are the same drives with a different sticker.

IOPS is Input/Output Operation per Second...you want more. Forget about the stupid advertised speeds. They mean something, but they confused everyone since they are not near as important as other things. You don't use those speeds often at all and the companies are misleading you..big time..it's really annoying.

Get the C300, it might have slower advertised speed, but who gives a rats ass since you don't use those speeds much at all. It is fast where it counts. Really that simple. I need to make a damn sticky..

From those I would definitely pick the Vertex II. Basically the same as callisto for $10 cheaper, and quite a step above the agility 2 for $10 more.
