Funny thing about the word oligarchy.
If you just look at the definition

a form of power structure in which power effectively rests with a small number of people
Then you are right and it pretty much can describe every government that has ever existed. Why does that sound an awful lot like a capitalist democracy.

Anyways off topic.

No, the theme in this thread is (or at least what I truly meant) Russia is once again shifting away from America and it is simply due to this that the Linux operating system has been adopted. I'm not even arguing whether MS Windows is better/worse than Linux or whether it is worth it. I'm simply saying Russia changed to Linux not because it is awesome or free or whatever you "Linux lobbyists" are trying to prove it is (so no particular reason for you guys to be celebrate, unless you really hate MS that much), but simply because it dislikes the US and has attempted to weaken one of the latter's crucial industries.

Once again, as I said before, individual choices cannot be compared to national shifts in policy such as this.
You really think disliking the US is a more logical reason than Linux being better and cheaper?
