Blue screen

Thread Starter
Alright, so I just moved all my stuff to a new case and installed a phenom II 955. When I go to install Windows 7 I keep blue screening. My motherboard is a Gigabyte Ma770-UD3, when I installed ram for the first time I had to change voltages, do you think I have to change voltages for my CPU too?

Set the vcore, or pc voltage to 1.4 and the memory should work at auto(just kidding...ha ha. Set Vmem to 1.8) That seems really high but if this is your set then 1.8 to 1.9 is the recommended. .

Since you have not successfully installed windows yet, make sure to go into the bios advanced features and enable AHCI in the Sata controls as that sound like it could be a SATA error.

It could be a number of issues, I would start at the easiest. Enable AHCI. Move your DVD and HD around on the SATA ports and remove a stick of ram then if you have the same error again swap it around to see if one is faulty.

When I go to install Windows 7 - this is a fresh install?
