new Folding Rig

Thread Starter
Please Recommend me components for this new rig.
I think I'll use two EVGA GTS450 with AM3 MoBo and CPU

I have $650 (20000 TH Bath) budget for this rig.
I'm in Thailand so I can't get some components you recommend but you can visit these sites to see what I can buy in my country.

Do you need RAM PSU case etc? Or are you just buying the CPU mobo and GPU?

I would say if you're only folding:
ASRock Extreme3 870 MOBO
Phenom II 955
2x 450GTS
G.Skill Ripjaws 2x2GB

I agree with this if it is your dedicated folding rig, you can always add GPUs later for even more.
But honestly do not buy anything yet, Sandy Bridge is around the corner. Even if you do not plan on buying it when it releases it should bring prices of i7 rigs down a good amount.

If you're not running 24/7 def. go for gpu folding. Get a decent dual core and a cheap mobo that will support mucho GPU's and make sure to get a good PSU. Other than that make sure all your clients have 37726 as the team and you're set!

a 920 or 930 is plenty good... market will get an uptick in i7's when SB comes out en masse driving down the prices. hold and those chips should be nice and cheap by then.
