Pushing a budget board?

Thread Starter
I have a Q9300 OCed to 3Ghz on my Asus P5Ql/EPU. The Bus speed is 400MHz and the multiplier is at 7.5 CPUZ reports that the Rated FSB is at 1600MHz. How is rated FSB related to acctual bus speed?

The manual for my mobo says 1600 FSB is the max oc, but there is still plenty of room left to OC (the BIOS will let me set the bus speed up 600). I also have plenty of headroom voltage-wise. Can I push this board farther, or will it not be able to handle a FSB speed faster than it is rated for, keeping in mind this is a $70 board.

For Core 2, multiply by 4. You could try raising the bus higher but it probably won't got past 400 by much. Ouch on the 7.5 CPU multi. That's one problem with the 1333 FSB processors - low multipliers.
