Kinda lost on buying a Amp

I'm about to buy Monitor 70's soon but i dont know what amp to buy for it. I have a Sony str k6800p Receiver which doesnt have any pre-amp.

Edit: My budget is around 300.

A receiver is an amp . You could easily use your current receiver with ease if you wanted to. You could also look into a newer, better one. Onkyo, Denon, Yamaha, and Pioneer all make good ones (Pioneer is honestly, believe it or not, my least favorite, but still good).

My Pioneer equipment was all free hand me downs. Only thing I've personally bought recently from Pioneer was a $15 set of headphones, because I needed some good budget cans. If I would have bought new, it probably would have been an Onkyo or Denon receiver with some Polk Monitor 40 bookshelfs (I go budget build all the way), and a Dayton SUB120.
