CM V8 and the nzxt sentry 2 fan controll

Thread Starter
Well I'm in the process of slowly getting parts for my build and was looking at heatsinks and I came across the coolermaster v8 at fry's and it just looks bad ass only thing i don't like was the knob i want to.hook up the nzxt sentry 2 touch screen and was wondering could the v8 be connected to it also or would i.have to replace the fan in the v8 for it to.work with the nzxt or is their a way to disable the knob?

you would not have to replace the fan, but to get it to work you would need to cut some wires and do some modding. it would be better if you just got another fan for two reasons. firstly the fan with the V8 isnt that great, and you would get better performance from a fan with more static pressure. and the second reason is that if you cut the fan, no warranty.

^^this

and maybe This can help

But I would go with the whole buy a new fan to not void the warranty. I on the other hand will mod it thanks for the idea Kal!
