Get the CP-850 PSU. I use a P183 case and the first PSU I tried, an Antec EA650, did not have a long enough CPU power cable to route behind the motherboard through the case cutouts so I had to run it over the top instead. The CP-850, being made for these cases, has plenty long enough cables to do the job right. That it's a superb PSU is only icing on the cake.

I'd say 1075t will be worth the extra $20, I personally have gone for the 1055t and I think it'll provide more than enough performance.

Thats just my guess though, I'd wait for a more experienced member to respond to that one, just thought I'd offer my opinion?

Well, I ordered all the parts and they're on their way. If the PSU I got from my friend doesn't have long enough cables, I'll definitely buy the CP-850, for obvious reasons. As far as the CPU goes, I was browsing through websites and saw the 1075 jump $40 in price all of a sudden on Amazon, so I just nabbed the 1055 before the price could go up on that, too. I think I should be alright... I got a nice cooler so I should be able to overclock if I really need to

Thanks everyone for your input! I'll update when I get all my parts and start putting it all together

Build is done, with a tiny little hiccup. Running great so far... had to grab an Antec Basiq for now because the PSU turned out to have a far too short CPU power cable thingy. Going to upgrade to a CP-850 before I overclock

Thanks for the input, everyone. Turns out 1055T was a much better decision.

5870 is a good card, and seeing as you are thanking someone for it i'm guessing you got a good deal.
Get 4 or 6GB of ram, you don't need 8.
And get a 1055t, at the moment the 970 might compete(or even beat) but 1055t is more future proof and that's clearly what you are looking for.
As an AMD boy you should know better than to recommend 6GB of ram, AMD is dual channel not Tri channel.
