Ubisoft DRM - Constant internet connection no longer required. - Page 6

No he's really not. It's people like you that are the reason we get these ridiculous DRM's. It's frustrating to see PC gamers let themselves be treated with such disrespect like this.

Pirates are ALWAYS going to be there. DRM is no different than gun laws. They only serve to keep people who actually abide by them in check. DRM doesn't affect pirates. DRM doesn't help piracy in any way or form. The only thing it does, is piss off people because it makes playing game you spend your hard earned cash on. I had issues with the witcher because the retarded DRM wasn't compatible with windows 7. Chaos Theory which was given to me has starforce on it which is a pain in the rear to get by.

By all means, go spend your money on these companies who want to make playing YOUR games a neusience. You obviously like companies telling you what you can and can't do. You might as well go buy a console and play some black ops single player.

i agree with your point of view, but i must say that DRM DOES help the company, otherwise they would not be spending such amounts of money on the DRM.

the starforce DRM did prevent the game getting cracked a VERY long time, and they are just trying to do the same thing. i understand the company and i would not mind IF they didnt screw the consumer.

bottomline: as much as i understand ubisoft, what they are doing isnt the way to go. pissing your customers off isnt a good move... and customers have a right to be pissed off.

Yup. That's pretty much how I feel.

Pirates and DRM both suck. If they're in acceptable amounts, I don't mind.

Technically that exemption is only applicable if you are doing it for research.

Anyway, I understand having good enough DRM to prevent casual coping a game but beyond that it still gets broken and just causes headaches for end users.

In what world are PC gamers sitting around pulling their hair out over piracy? You are ridiculous good sir.

Wow, looks like I struck on a nerve on a hilarious amount of people.

I'll continue to buy any decent Ubisoft game, and then not cry over DRM afterward
