HI,

My bios is rubbish and I have seen online people are using a more updated version. I have downloaded 1.3 which I think is the most update date and now need to kow how to update my bios. Can someone point me in the right direction? I cannot seem to find a bios flashing tool for it.

What BIOS does XFX use AMI,Phoenix etc..

If it`s AMI try AFUDOS flashing utility..

It`s DOS based flashing utility sou you need to crate a bootable USB and to put AFUDOS and BIOS file on it..

Reboot and hit F8 on POST to chose USB flash disk to boot into DOS..

Then type this: afudos /iBIOSname.rom an hit ENTER..

Do not interrupt flashing process as you`ll end up with a bricked motherboard..

When you get message that it`s compleated restart system..

CHEERS..

It will be much easier if you just go onto XFX site, download the latest bios (1.41b) onto your desktop. Make sure you download MagicISO so when you extract the zipped bios file, it will be recognized as an ISO file. Burn it to a CD (make sure you make it bootable). Follow the instructions that will be included with the zipped file from XFX site.

You have to register your mobo on the XFX site and in order to download the latest bios.
why in the heck do you need a bootable disk? almost all modern mobos have a flashing program inside the bios and it loads it off either a disk or flash drive, flashes to the bios and reboots.

It appears their site is not working at the moment. When I enter my email for forgot password the page jst refreshes. I tried to register again even though I am registered and the drop down for country and region is blank and cannot prgress without selecting. I want a new bios as the version I have does not let you unlink the ram and cpu when overclocking. It appears my overclock has been unstable so I have had to go back to default.

Because XFX has their bios file as an ISOimage file only for the XFX 750i. Yes, it's but that's XFX for ya.

Yeah, the site is trippin' right now. It's doing the same to me when I try to login. Hate to disappoint you but you will never be able to unlink the ram when OC'ing the cpu with this mobo but you can manually set the fbs for the ram until you find that magic OC for the ram that will work with that OC'ed cpu. It's a hassle of trial & error with this mobo. It took me far too long to find a stable OC for both the cpu & memory with this mobo...just too many headaches
