The 460 is a short card, as is the 5770/6870, those will not have a problem fitting.

ok now, what manufacturers i should be looking at when choosing between ati/nvidia and which manufacturers just suck and arent even worth looking at ? also are the cards with dual fans better in therms of temperature or its just a trick which doesnt rly increase cooling performance when compared to single fan solutions ? ;d

btw, outside of the box question
does these new cards 460/5850/6870 need more PSU power than 8800 ultra ? :

No they wont be using any more power. ATI: MSI, ASUS, Gigabyte. Nvidia: EVGA, Zotac, ASUS, MSI.

Good choice. The 1GB version is the version you want to get. Good card there.
