A little nervous about leaving FFXIV running while afk

Thread Starter
A common practice in FFXIV is the "afk bazaar" where one leaves their machine on while sleeping or at work. My 2 470s are running nice and hot though. Top one is at 85C while the game is running, other one at 76. Is it a bad call to leave them like that for an additional 8-10 hours beyond normal game time? I'm afraid they're gonna burn up!

I'm fairly sure you will be a o k man, people leave these things folding for weeks on end, and probably game on them for the additional 8-10 hours beyond your normal game time =)

Why don't you just leave your retainer in a market ward? Retainers stay active even when you are not logged in. Also, with the new updates...you can have 2 retainers at a time.

If they get too hot they'd crash before doing any lasting harm.

At least that's what I'd gather from current modern video cards.

thanks guys. haha noobishness i thought about that but thought it would be such a hassle to do it. i left it on today for 9 hours and when i came back it was crashed. haha. i wonder if it was from heat or because the game occasionally crashes. actually afk bazaar is one use - you can never have enough spots to sell stuff. although in this case i made a certain character as a joke and wanted to leave him in a certain place just as a joke, haha oh well.
