Please what can I get with a ~500 Budget?

Hello everyone, I have some money saved up to build a new system. Since october I have been saving and waiting for WoW Cataclysm to be release, well the game was released but after a "guild break" I just didnt fell like going back. Couple days ago I got in touch with couple old friends, so they are playing a real low end graphic game called Tibia. Now my current computer is giving me some issue that I can not figure it out, where it will freezes randomly out of the blue and makes impossible to me to play with them. Now as I was waiting to make a new build and waiting for sandy to come out, I'm also thinking is it really worth to build a ~2500 system to play tibia? So I was thinking about if it could be done, make a cheap gaming system and what can I get with this budged.

Thanks...

Hmm yeah you can play Tibia on a $500 system but I think you should figure out what's wrong with your current setup, as it's way over-adequate too

Your system is fine, you only really need a new video card for the more recent games. Sounds like the problem might be your GPU anyway, so its a 2 fer =D

Your current rig is fine, just get an SSD, GPU, and some better RAM.

60GB OCZ Vertex 2: $124
GTX 460 1GB: $179
1066 RAM

= Money well spent.

I'm trying, I have tried a bunch of stuff already to no vail. I have a huge thread explaining everything over evga boards and some suggestion there, my next step is take it apart and try test with one part at a time, but I'm waiting for some water cooling parts, and I can only start working with this next week (no mess, this weekend). I have an older P4 pc but it only support PCI (no PCIe or AGP), even with a 9400GT PCI the video lags a lot, but I like to use it for most of my web needs. It's really nice being able to play in one and use a second computer, without having to alt/tab to check tips and videos. So maybe getting a lower budge, would be almsot like an upgrade for my "web" computer.

I already have replaced my hard drive, done memtest86+ for more than 13 hours, changed BIOS settings with help of the guys over evga, check for temps, dust, leaks. So my next step will be testing one GPU at a time. But this can take long, as the problem sometimes seens to happen 2-3 a day to days without freezing.

Sorry but I do not wish to upgrade my sign system. When I get into something more power demanding, then I want to build a new one from scratch.
