[Engadget]Andriod text messaging bugs and alarm clocks that dont work - Page 2

Samsung Moment:

1.) Text message notification sound doesn't happen (I have to by chance open the phone to see the notification at the top)
2.) Texts that show as sent did not send (I open the text thread 2 days later after no reply and magically I get a response from them within minutes. I ask when they recieved it and they say about the same time I opened the thread)
3.) Texts will not send without reboot (Annoying and pointless. It shows like I don't have service with 5bars and a simple reboot ~2min fixes it)
4.) Pictures I send show up several hours after the fact (only sometimes)
5.) If someone sends me a long text (several messages after splitting) I ussually only get parts of it. I send any response whatsoever and I get the other pieces but only after I send another message.

I have had these issues for over a year and have done all updates as they come out. Nothing has ever gotten better.

PS: Angry Birds has more graphics issues than I can possibly describe and will no longer run, but Angry Birds Seasons runs perfectly. Go figure.

I had my Evo do something like this to me yesterday. I would tap the contact name in my favorites widget for a direct dial call and it would call someone nowhere near the one I tapped. The names it called, at times, where not even showing on the list unless I scrolled way way down, so it wasn't like an accidental mis-tap or anything. It happened 3 times to me yesterday, had never happened before that though. On 2.2 btw.

Even though it says it happens with the gingerbread nexus, I get this a few times a day on my incredible. The thread I tap and the thread that comes up are are never close to one another so I know it's not just me fat fingering it.

Moto Droid here, never had that issue. Then again I don't use a stock app for anything. I use dialer one for calls. I use handcent for texting. If I needed an alarm clock I'd probably go find a different app for that as well.

I don't use stock apps mainly because if something is screwed up, or I don't like something? I can't communicate with google about it. They're in the dark about this sorts of stuff. I'd rather pay for a new app and have a direct line to the developers about issues and so forth.

HTC Desire here, working fine, typing first sms was a little bit awkward, but that's about it.
Previously I've used Xperia X1 running winmo 6.5 I think, there's countless numbers of calls I've missed due to X button located right under answer.
