Ok so i have a Samsung SPS4243 42-Inch Plasma. And it turns on but the screen dosent show anything. I opened it up and saw that one of the wires has burned. We took it apart and saw that there might be a cable missng becuase someone might have opened it already. Will post pics soon. Could it be the burned wire? Could i just cut around it and take new wiring and solder it on?

On topic: it certainly looks as if you have found the source of the problem. You probably voided the warranty on the TV by cracking it open, so if you feel up to it, try re-soldering the damaged cable. May not be a reliable solution though...
