MSI Fails when it comes to RMA and customer service (Greatly Fixed) - Page 4

lol MSI did me good the first RMA I did with a mother board.

They sent me a brand new one, was pretty quick too, maybe 2/3 weeks.

Board went out again and it took me over a week of online requests and phone calls to get an RMA, the returned product wouldn't post, and it only has one led for the active phase switching lit up so it's trying to post with the lowest phase of power I guess.


Nothing beats ASUS though, I mean it's not their fault Fedx delivered my package to a guy 1300 miles away, I mean it's not like they didn't have his info or anything... at least thats what the second person (first person was a guy and was very nice/cool about it) said as they told me to get lost and contact Fedx...

Contacted fedx about it and they said they'd open an investigation into it... That was last week, still haven't heard anything, board was spent back in early September.

My one RMA experience w/ MSI was a good one. Then again I never had to talk to or email anyone, and got back a 7900GTX for a 7900GT.

Keep your working card. Take 'em to court if need be.

Their powersupply takes out my motherboard and it takes 2 months to send out an RMA.

Never putting anything corsair in any of my personal systems again. The way they seem to be changing though it might be for the best.

Just when I started to think they got better since their P4 era *****ty hardware and non-existant support.

You're still lucky, at least you got a local support number. I got nothing but their Japanese numbers that came stuck to the box of my GTX 460 LOLs. Should my GPU die, I think I'll just buy another one (non-MSI for sure).

I just got an MSI gtx 570..Should have got the asus...damn! Look my VID too....TERRIBLE.

Never again MSI. Even if it,s not their fault, it was more expensive but I had fast shipping for free.... xD

Felt pretty bad about ripping of the stock cooler on my 480 and voiding warranty, seems like it wasn't a big loss.

I'm having just as a bad experiene myself trying to RMA my motherboard. Requested an RMA 3 weeks ago now and not a single reply from MSI

Well if you don't talk to either supervisor or the tech support rep I talked to, you should be fine. The tech rep who was completely rude, I managed to get him again when I called to ask something about a HDD, which I got working on my own. Sounded like he was blazed again, and his answer to why the HDD wasn't showing in the BIOS on the regular SATA ports was because the cable was loose and then he hung up. Was actually a bad OS install. So if you get a guy who sounds like he's high out of his mind and doesn't want to be there, ask for someone else, or hang up..
