Quite frankly, MSI Fails in general.

if they say the video card you sent them is fine then take the box from the one they sent you and put your old card in it and send it to them snail mail. if there is nothing wrong with your old video card then there should be no problem and they shouldn't notice.

I just sent in a mobo cause any time i TOUCH the oc settings it freaks out and reboots on and off constantly for 1 minute. I really hope they don't stiff me.

It's luck of the draw. You could have gotten a bad VID with any vendor.

They have the old card already. I had to RMA my original because when they're board went out, I stopped getting video from the card even on other boards. The replacement card they sent me had the whacked out BIOS and the incredibly loud clicking fan. And no I finally have one that works and was even unlocked by them, but they say I have to send it back for them to send me the one with the weird BIOS and loud fan back.

Well they already told me what's up with why they're not taking the card. So there is no damage, and like my previous post, I don't have the original, as the second card with problems was actually the received RMA card. It's also the 465 GE, so they all have the special number on them.

Odd, I had the exact opposite. My MSI Mainboard caught fire and singed my PSU's cables. They sent me a brand new replacement in about 12 days!

I guess it just depends on if they're in a good mood or not...

As far as I know, as long as you put the stock cooler back on when you send it in, you can still rma your card with msi.

So, unless you modified the actual card, you still have the warranty.

That's stupid. My mobo caught fire and they wanted to charge me $35 for it. =\\

I'm generally pleased with their cards, but I've never had any experience with their RMA services.

Wow that's really crazy them asking for the card back,that just isn't right.I am sorry to hear about it.

I did an rma with msi a couple years ago with a wind netbook and was very pleased with the procedure,it wasn't more than 2 weeks turnaround and all is well to this day.
