MSI Fails when it comes to RMA and customer service (Greatly Fixed) - Page 7

GL with that, I hear the BBB takes bribes for ratings and lowers the ratings on places that don't pay them.

Also the XFX post is a new level of epic.

BBB went fine for me with Bestbuy. Wouldn't refund me the full laptops value for the warranty so i had to go through the BBB to fix it.

Yea I did an RMA for something similar it was quick, painless and got a nice new board back from it.

The BBB is a sham - I learned this during an Ethics and Business Management course where we did some case studies on the BBB. You would be mostly wasting your time filing a complaint with them. You are better off hitting them in hi profile locations like this forum. These places and posts tend to do more damage than a BBB complaint. (Not that I encourage this thread - just speaking to the topic at hand - personally I have had nothing but good from MSI)

I RMAed a motherboard to them with an obviously damaged socket; two weeks later got a BNIB one no charge, no questions.

Usually when people are always getting treated poorly from tech support/reps/whatever it is because the customer is being as d-bag.
Just seems odd, I mean I have never had an issue with returning/repairing anything. I have a friend that is always a prick when he calls/emails and gets nowhere.

In this case its more of the management and reps in the store... I went to the one near my school and it was a hassle each time I went in for one thing or another. Go into the store near my house, and I'm in and out within a few minutes, but that's for a bestbuy thread, not this one for MSI.

If things aren't going your way with them over the coming days, I would suggest to talk to that supervisor's manager, and just continue to escalate up the food chain until someone is willing to work with you. Everyone answers to someone. one way or another, and you've already played nicely with them up to this point. It's ridiculous that they have been holding your money for so long as-is, all while trying to screw you in the end. You do what you have to do to get results.

Of course, the best tactic is to always be polite throughout the whole process and take down the names of every person you speak to as soon as you start the conversation. Once you ask for a name, that will get the person's attention. This coming from someone who does work in a call center and depot maintenance facility.

Best of luck with this whole situation.
