Yh its the steam version and occasionally i get BSOD saying system service exception,
but i seem to have cured that with the driver roll back, oh i forgot to mention that its the demo.
And i am not using a trainer

EDIT: 1 and a half hours untill crysis has finished downloading so i could try that out

I'd probably try deleting it from the steam folder and letting it re-install with your new system (after Crysis, of course). I actually d/l'ed Crysis yesterday from Steam (got all of 'em for $9.99). It is one BIG game ... took forever.

This sounds like the problem. And with hard drives so cheap, I mean £40 for a Samsung 1TB Spinpoint F3...it would make sense even if your current hard drive wasn't failing.

I'm assuming you are from the US, so I'll post newegg links.
Hard Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-185-_-Product

SSD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227550

However with the SSD, I would hold off getting one right away. I believe they will soon drop dramatically in price, as they are becoming more and more mainstream.

Thanks for the links i have just bought a Western Digital Caviar Blue 320gb
as i dont think i will ever use 1tb. and if i run out of space i can always buy another and put them in raid 0. I might complete the build first before i get an ssd because i still need an Optical drive and a monitor.

Yes, I would prioritise a optical drive and monitor. And remember that Raid 0 isn't as safe as one big hard drive.

Aka, one disk fails, then all data is lost.

Ok now i am annoyed because i just installed crysis played 2-3 mins and i get a BSOD this time saying 'Video Memory Mangement has experianced an unexpected fatal error' . Do you still think its my harddrive or my BRAND NEW 5870 that i got yesterday. Yh I know that raid 0 is a risk but all my important files are saved on a server with raid 5.

EDIT: I tryed it again and it just stops responding ARGH.

EDIT 2: Tryed again and the computer locks up after about 5 mins
