Hi!

I'm new here and definitely need your help. I have intel Q6600 with 8gig ram and nvidia8800GT. I'm looking to overclock it a little bit, not sure by how much.

I'm looking at getting a cooler for my cpu since my cpu is tucked in a corner where there's not much air circulating. My cases is thermaltake matrix, w/c is a simple case.

I do gaming and most of the time photo editing using lightroom and CS5 simultaneously and Indesign.

my choices are limited here in our location in canada. I would like to get the best our of my setup without changing much.

cooling system that are accessible in my area are:

Cooler master V8 Can$67
Megahalems Rev.B Can$62
Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Can$25
Zalman VF2000 Can$58

cases:

Cooler master HAF 922 Can$127
Antec Nine hundred Can$138
Antec Nine Hundred 2 Can$145
Antec Six Hundred Can$98

Thanks so much! or any other suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks so much!

also, will this fit in my motherboard and case? my MB is Asus P5K.

Cooling; Megahalems. The CM V series are overpriced and underprerforming. I use Noctua NF-P12 fans on it.

Case: CM 922. The Antec cases (I had a 900) have limited cable management.

I would recommend the Megahalems and the Antec 902 if you want better air flow or HAF 922 which has better cable management.

I'd steer clear of Antecs. I would recommend doing more homework before buying a case. You want something wide enough to handle full tower coolers, or a bit taller: the top-rated Thermalright Archon is 170mm tall. The second best Silver Arrow is 160mm, as is the Noctua NH-D14, just a bit behind the SA.

I'd go with the best air cooler you can manage in a close environment. I'd also recommend a case that lets lots of air through: your cooler is no better than the air you put through it.

BTW - the next level down from the D14 are the VX and the Megahalems. If you go with the Megatron or the VX, check out the study in item 1 in my sig.
