Xeon L3426

Well I am planing a project that I am going to need a new computer for (intel based) and was just planning on getting a core i3 setup for cheap to do it. Well I happened upon someone selling a Xeon L3426 and a Gigabyte H55M-USB3 that wouldn't cost but about $15-20 more than getting the board and i3 combo from newegg. My thoughts are that from what I was able to see on the chip that it ranks a lot higher on the benchmarks in comparison to the i3 even for the real low clock speeds plus with the 4+4 cores I think it would be a good buy even though it is used parts over new.

So what do you think on the chip and where do you think I may be able to get the clock on this overclocking it. The guy mentioned that he thought it should hit 3-3.5 and I know the speed boost is up to 3.2 but I would rather just have a good respectable overclock that will make me not miss the athlon II that I am currently running.

The 3426 is basically a low clocked i7, so you would get the benefits of increased cache and the 4 extra threads. Personally, I would go with the Xeon chip, because it will indeed OC. How well? I have no idea. You'd probably be bclk limited on it, as it only uses a 14x multi according to ARK.
