I was curious as i just purchased this mouse after debating if i should for the price tag.All in all i am very pleased, very comfortable nice easy to use features about the only thing i dislike is the weight system can be a pan sometimes.

I was curious what Mouse surface you guys was using with this mouse and how it scored in the Surface analyzer tool.I am using a Xtrac pad ripper xxl .and why i love the pad it scores pretty low just above acceptable.so i would like to increase the tracking score of this. So post up what you guys use and the score it got.

Razer Goliathus speed edition. (In between acceptable and good.)

Now I made my closet into a huge computer desk, so I use a counter top. If I use the mouse directly on the counter top I get between good and excellent.

Now, I can't tell one bit of difference between the two surfaces as they both track fine.

if you use th 5000 one, you want hard surface like 9/4hd, trust me - if you go for cloth , you will notice hard negative accel. since cloths down the max. speed of the avago 9500 drastically.

if you use the second lower dpi naos, go with whatever you like.

yes i use the naos 5000 ,normally i like cloth pads as i rest my forearm on them for comfort. But this Ripper i so large i was thinking about getting a hard pad and placing it on top that way i could still have the comfort of the cloth but the precision of the hard.

I would like to have a pretty good size hard mat any recommendations. The 4hd to me i dont think is big enough.i like some room to work with. Also i hate the sandpaper sound you get with some hard mats so what would be a good one that would not be to loud

There's that zowie waterproof thing. It's hard yet still like a soft pad.
edit: I think it's the Zowie P-TF

I haven't noticed any negative acceleration whatsoever. But then again I game using 800 DPI.

Edit: I put the DPI to 5040 and set windows sensitivity lower, and then did a few tests. No negative acceleration whatsoever, even when I whip the mouse sideways really fast.

This mouse works perfectly fine using a Razer Goliathus speed edition.
