Are these good numbers for my WDC Black 640s in Raid0? These would be what I would be pairing with my SSD for additional storage. If it is slow I should probably get some new HDDs

thats about right, this one will not double but 3x faster

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-578-_-Product

although you should have decent knowledge of bios and setting up raids and what not. for these drives.. not hard to setup if you know those things, will be the most noticeable upgrade you ever make or have made

Are my current hard drive speeds acceptable to pair with an SSD of that caliber though?

Not sure if I would benefit from buying new HDDs as well to go with the SSDs

You'd have to verify that your motherboard can consider booting from PCI-E when considering a revodrive as your boot/OS drive..

Also if you had any product knowledge of what you're touting, luno, you'd know that the RAID is internal on the card and requires no user intervention.

Those numbers for the RAID0 performance are about right.
In all honesty it isn't going to make a difference until you're moving huge files between them constantly.

So what do you guys think of this setup for my current build. Anything you would change?

Yes beers, if you knew anything about what your touting, you would know to set these drives up, you have to disable your currant raid setup and change raid settings in bios, so some knowledge of raid and bios settings is needed.

like beers mentioned, if your mobo supports the revo drives i would go that route, at least if your looking for almost instant game loads..

and yes i have those exact 2 drives, wd black 640gb sata 6gb as well. i had an older revo drive, and waiting on my new x2.. these drives are 2x faster than my corsair sata ssd in raid.

and from what i understand the revo puts 100mb aside for a buffer thats helps your sata hard drives work a little faster
