Can't get GTA IV To play - Page 2

DVD drive is not on the way out is it? Those are the type of systems my last drive showed before it died. Would install games most of the time, though pretty slowly, and would always ask for the proper discs for games even though I was using them. Have you run into this with any other discs at all?

could try reinstalling it? or if you have a restore point on your pc try that hope this helps, i hate it when games dont work D:

I had something similar happen just a day or 2 ago.. it was after a GamesforWindowsLive Update.. reinstalled GTA IV and same thing happend. SO then I went looking for an update and found 1.7 so I installed it and the game came back to life and all is well.

It could be worth a shot...
