Final(?) 920 overclock settings and questions

Ok, so after many, many, many hours of pounding my head on the keyboard, this is what I have come up with:

CPU Ratio 20
Speedstep Enable
BCLK freq 190
PCIE freq 100
DRAM freq Auto
UCLK freq Auto
QPI data link rate Auto
CPU V 1.1875
CPU PLL V 1.8
QPI/DRAM V 1.4125
IOH 1.10
IOH PCIE V 1.5
ICH V 1.2
ICH PCIE V 1.5
DRAM Bus 1.5
Load line cal Enable
DPU diff amp 800mv

All else set to Auto

DRAM timing 6-6-7-20 1N

CPUZ data:

Bus speed 190Mhz
QPI link 2420MHz
NB freq 3040MHz
DRAM freq 570Mz
FSBRAM 2:6

Passes Prime95. 42deg at idle and 73deg testing. Drops 2deg when I take the case side off, which tells me I need another 120mm pusher. Now for the questions since I'm new to this fun....

Is this a 'good' setup in terms of voltages to speed to running temps?

Is the CPUZ data for the RAM good? (speed wise is it fast for GSkill DDR3 1333)

I've been reading on the RAM overclocking and I kind of get the gist, but don't really understand what I have done. If I try and enter a value for DRAM or UCLK freq or QPI link rate, CRASH!!! Da 'puter she no go.

Last issue... During boot up, I have a 25 second delay from the end of BIOS to when the hard drive spins up and another 30-33 seconds to the log on screen. It didn't do this running stock. Is this a 'normal' side effect of overclocking? I wouldn't think so. I've disable everything on start up, defrag'd and cleaned up the HD, tweeked the registry and lost the splash screen to get to this point. Anything else I should be looking at?

Criticism, tips and tricks appreciated.

the delays your getting are not normal, and probably a sign that your ram is unstable. overclocking ram is tricky, and normally you cant get that far with it. i always get ram that will allow me to overclock as high as i want CPU wise, without going out of the ram spec range. so at the moment 2000mhz is good for me. ideally you want your ram with in spec, most ram kits will only overclock 100mhz over spec.

your voltages are fairly good for your overclock, if you try dropping your CPU multiplier down and clocking the core higher then you might drop some temps and increase your overclock. i7's dont prefer even multipliers, they like odd multipliers. so a CPU multiplier of 19 should need less voltage to overclock as high as a 20x multiplier.

I see what you're saying about the memory, but the problem started before I started overclocking the memory. I left all DRAM timing on auto originally. I will run Memtest overnight to see what happens. I read that the GSkill 1333 were successfully overclocked to 756MHz, so is 570MHz really that bad considering it's about halfway between that and stock of 333MHz?

I didn't know the 920 'didn't like' even multipliers, so I'll have a crack at changing that in the morning. I tried dropping the CPU V more on those numbers and had a stable test with Prime95, but the temps actually went UP 2-3deg. If I remember from what I read, dropping the multiplier is going to increase the overclocking on the RAM, correct? That being the case, I'll need to step down DRAM timing, yes?

Thanks for the input. I'm trying to understand ALL of what I'm doing and why instead of bits and pieces.

So I had one memory error after 5 passes. I have set the timing to 8-8-8-24 sN, took the multiplier to 19 and BCLK to 200. I dropped the voltages and got it stable, but now CPUZ shows bus speed at 200MHz, QPI link at 3600MHz , NB freq at 3200MHz and DRAM freq at 600MHz. Still have the same delay issues. Memtest passes. I'm thinking that with DRAM Freq set to auto, it's using the multiplier to run the DRAM. Correct? I'm going to try manually setting DRAM freq to the lowest setting and work up from there. Anyone else with thoughts, suggestions? Much appreciated.
