Looking for a video capture program

Thread Starter
Hey guys,
Im looking for a program that will detect video inputs and simply display them along with audio from a composite cable. The software that came with my hardware is complete trash, all im looking for is a program that simply displays video inputs with audio as well. Im currently using a free program called AMcap but it keeps closing every 5 mins asking for me to buy it, which wouldnt be a problem, the it isnt good enough to buy. Anyways I have a USB Diamond tuner that is getting video and audio in from composite. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Well, i doubt my post will be of much help but I'll try anyway -

Have you tried updating the software that came with your hardware?

Thanks for your input but the orginal software isnt just flawed but its not what im looking for. It so bad it cant even simply display the input fullscreen.

You have a TV tuner that you use to watch TV on your TV - just use your video card's output for video and your soundcard's output for audio.

Or are you talking about the actual TV tuner software and you need something better? If so, then why not just use media center or mediaportal for the softwareside and as above, use your video card's output for video and your soundcard's output for audio?

Or have I still not understood?

Unfortunately, there isn't something good that just displays without any unnecessary features on Windows. You might wanna try mplayer for Windows, maybe it can do what it does on Linux, on Windows as well.
