MSI N470GTX vs Reference 6970

Thread Starter
I'm not planning to buy another card but just wondering which is more superior in the long run? A non-reference card like MSI N470GTX or a reference card 6950 (will be flashed to 6970). The 470 will be overclock and the 6950/70 will not. tongue.gif

Well, you get what you pay for.

OC'ed 470 can match 480/570 stock's performance and stock 6970 is slightly faster than stock 570. So it really comes down to features such as physx, CUDA, raw power and drivers. Which ones do you prefer?

I guess they're on par but from most reviews I've read, 6970 has a little more raw power than 570.

Going to have to disagree and suggest the exact opposite. Either way I would take nVidia for PhysX.

I'm not suggesting anything coz I myself would go for Nvidia, but I'm just giving OP each card's benefits.
