Case fans and heatsinks question.

Thread Starter
okay. so i was wondering. which case fan is better, the silverstone air penetrator, or this fan: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835106153

one has 3 times as much cfm but the other is supposed to blow air in a column. also, while i'm at, i plan on getting the megahalems heatsink, is it the best for an antec 900 case?

best fan is the one that meets your cfm needs and your db needs. i prefer the San Ace 9G1212H1011 personally.

For Megahalems, check out item 1 in my sig.

I suspect your Tt AF0026 is the replacement for the A2018 I used in that test. Look at the list of fans, click on the link to Thermaltake and read about the performance of that fan. That fan is noisy, and the listed specs on the AF0026 say it's noisy too. But if it's like it's predecessor it will really move air.

For case fan use, a Penetrator is probably better if you need the output directed in a narrow zone. If you're just looking to fill up an area, any fan will do.
