how much silver coil do i put in??

so the silver coil i bought is pretty long, i ripped off a small piece (1") and threw it in my res lol, is that all i need?

also, it got sucked into my loop is that bad? still working fine i did this a couple hours ago

will it mess up anything? im guessing it's stuck somewhere but not big enough to block the flow?

can i just deal with it when i upgrade later or should i drain now and get it out? (UGH!!)

I would turn it off and drain it right away if I were you. If it gets sucked into the pump, or rad, or blocks, it probably won't be good in any way.

Yea, I would make sure you at least know where it is and that its not going to go anywhere.

A 4in strip wrapped around a pencil or pen and put into your tubeing by the res or pump is a great spot, but plopping it in your res is also good.

Just needs to be in such a shape as to not get sucked into your pump or tubing.

Hope that helps.

This & this...there is a reason most are sold in 8 to 12" strips or coils, it should be large enough to avoid getting sucked into the pump and causing a rig meltdown . Coil the rest and place it in the res or inside a tube.
