Hey, been browsing here for a long time reading and taking in and just recently built my 2nd proper Rig, so I'd appreciate any opinions on my choices, and if I should OC or upgrade anything.

Its my Sig Rig 'Beast'.

Cheers

Are you using the stock cooler for your CPU?
If you want to OC your 965 (I assume it's a C3) you should get something like a NH-D14.

As for future upgrades: SSD, bigger screen.

SB is Sandy Bridge, the new upcoming mainstream platform for socket LGA 1155, which is meant to replace LGA 1156.

I had the stock cooler for quite a while until I started BOINCing and it became way too loud under load. So I'd say you're best off with an aftermarket cooler anyway.

An intel cpu would be great, but not price/performance wise, in my view. Too pricey.

And yeah, gaming on the stock HS/F is like a jet turbine sometimes >.<

Ram is running slow because this board defaults the ram to 1333MHz. All you gotta do is go to the bios and set it to 1600MHz.

And, isnt the stock cooler too noisy ???
