Which is also a port, but a better one... I guess?

Maybe all that really needs to happen is for programmers to stop being bad, then all will be well?
That used to be the "Final Thoughts" point for all of my video card reviews in 2009. It was brute force GPUs facing off against DX9 (and a hand full of DX10) games. In 2011 we still have fewer than twenty DX11 titles... although I love me some BF:BC2, even if does only use one DX11 API.

When u are spending more on cooling your CPU then your actual CPU then u have problems.
I realize it more than you think, which is why I'll be speaking about this during a private dinner with CPU Cooler manufacturers and retailers during CES. If it wasn't for a significant decline in global heatsink sales, this article would have never been written.

I'm trying to find a way to wake people up, and demand that manufacturers deliver what they want. It's a shame I get trolled every time I write something for you guys, though.

My first question when seeing 5.2ghz on stock cooling is this.
Are you getting the same performance gain from going to 5.2ghz with sandy bridge as with previous chips? or is 5.2ghz the new 4ghz.

Sorry, I cannot comment about Sandy Bridge performance ahead of NDA. There will be pleny of news in the next day or so.

yea, I'm not bashing or anything.
I am just really curious.

are we at the next step of having chips increasing their clock speeds the way they did a few years back. Because 1.5 - 2ghz was normal, now 3 - 3.5ghz is pretty standard.
are we bumping up to having 4 - 4.7 ghz being standard?

Well, all I have to say if this is true I am going to throw a resistor on my H70 and buy the 2600K. Of all the BS that has been thrown around here, this is the thing that would make me buy. Thanks for the article, i look forward to the benchmarks. When does the NDA lift?
