Hi,

Im thinking of changing my triple rad to a double rad and wanted to know your opinons and which would be the best to get with low rpm fans i was thinking Thermochill PA120.2? so i can get more quieter and more space saving (ie the triple blocks my top two driver bays)

Spec
Corsair 800d
ATI 5770 with EK waterblock
i7 950 overclock to 4Ghz
Mushkin ridgeback ram
Motherboard Gigabyte UD7 Revision 2

Watercooling i already have
Thermochill PA120.3 + shroud + Enermax TB silence fans (900 rpm)
EK supreme HF cpu block
EK Waterblock for ATi 5770
Laing D5 Pump Vario with EK rev 2 fitment
1/2"Primochill PrimoFlex Pro Tubing
Silver Coil + nuke stuff
XSPC bay res / also have EK 150 res with that anti stuff
anti kink coils
EC6 clear UV Blue

You have an 800D. Bigger radiators are better. Why not just stick with your 360 radiator and mount it in your 800D? Also the triple won't block your drive bays if you rotate it and have the barbs near the back of the case instead.

Thanks i have not built the pc yet, i might just do that.

my loop would be as follows

Pump -> Rad -> CPU -> GPU -> Res -> back to Pump

has any tried cooling the built in waterblock for the UD7 or any other motherboard as i bought the adaptor for it but does not have a snug fit?

[xPt]FLuX - The reason i got this card is because i don't play games at all just general browsing and HD video/encoding - im upgrading from 2900xt which im selling on bay at the moment.

i had a 800D with pa 120.3 with three feser triewerk fans. I then swiched over to an antec 300 w/ a swiftech 240. used two triebwerk as push with a two antec fans w/ shrouds as pull. I got better temps with the 240/antec 300. this was on a i7 920 @ 4.0 Ghz. those swiftech rads are not punks. maybe you can add a 240 on top of your 800 d with push a push pull config. not sure if it will fit put you can always put the other set of fans on top of the case? good luck man

I have also read this thread which suggest there is not much difference from PA120.2 vs PA120.4

http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=128424

the way i see it less fans = less noise and also more space to work with even though the case i have is gigantic

Hi,

Update: I ended up using a XSPC Rx360 rad instead now.

Now I have two thermochills to sell off they are both the 25mm spacing ones and the Shroud or gaskets closes the gaps.

PA120.3 + Shroud + 1/2" EK Barbs
PA120.2 + Shroud + Gasket + 1/2" EK Barbs

also have set of Enzotech black nickel compression fittings and 3/8" to 1/4" adaptors

It is against the rules to post anything for sale outside of the designated forum:

http://www.overclock.net/sale/

And unfortunately you don't have the required 35 REP to use that forum. Please sell your stuff somewhere else.
