New socket compatibility w/ current air coolers

Thread Starter
So would it be safe to assume that air coolers currently compatible with the 1156 standard will also work with the new 1155 socket when it comes out?

I mean since the difference between the two sockets is only 1 pin I would think that they are the same size and therefor could use the same mounting hardware.

Yes, AFAIK it's even been confirmed, that the socket LGA 1155 will use the same mounting hole layout like the socket LGA 1156.
