Let me start off by saying, i am terrible at resisting the temptation to upgrade hardware, and that would be ok if i could afford it, but I'm a student and have no regular income. Anyway, I've been reading about socket 1155's release and at first i was sure i was going to be able to say, hey, its a 2500K wouldn't be that much better than what i have now. However, I see 5 Ghz on air, and at first i was like, no way are those voltages safe for 24/7 use, but now it seems that 5+ ghz may be doable on 1155 chips, and that makes me feel sad. So, I won't have the money for to buy a new cpu and mobo at release anyway, and ill be waiting until after Bulldozer comes out to decide my next route, but how much more performance would you guess i would get with an i5 2500K @ 5.0 ghz vs my system now?
