These are all good, but which is the BEST? lol .

Is this Mugen rated high compared to these other suggestions? I haven't heard much about it. I have two of the scythe S-Flex fans in my case already though. Are the Ultra Kazes a lot better? Also, I am having problems with my fans not working at all. Would a fan controller solve the problem? See my other thread here: http://www.overclock.net/intel-mothe...l#post11856508

This CPU cooler wouldn't fit with my VIPER Patriot 12GB RAM . It is listed as "not compatible."

The Mugen is a $40.00 CPU cooler. It comes with 1 Scythe SlipStream, but you can attach up to 4 fans to the cooler. Ultra Kazes are Scythe's loudest, most powerful fans which go for like $20 each. 4 of them on a Mugen will beat a D14 and be smaller.

Have you had personal experience with the Mugen? In this picture it looks like it won't work with larger RAM modules with the heat sinks on top :
Also, does it comes with all of the brackets to attach 4 fans to it? You really think it will outperform a D14 or silver arrow? If I run 4 fans on it, how am I going to hook all of them up in addition to the fans I already have in my case?

he said he didnt want to go too crazy. obviously the d14 and sa are the best air coolers. but if your not going to be doing a rediculous overclock(and 4ghz for a hexacore i7 is nothing) scythe mugen 2 and cm hyper 212+ are the best bang for your buck.

look, for the overclock you are going for, you dont need a d14 or a silver arrow, or even a corsair unit. those coolers are all $80usd+. go with the scythe mugen 2 if you want a great cooler at a great price. the mugen 2 is more than enough for what your looking to do. but if you want overkill, and you are thinking you might oc further in the future, then the d14 would be a wise choice. otherwise id go with the mugen 2.

also lostintyme said to use 4 fans. thats just rediculous. 4 fans would kill your cooling performance. the fans would be working against each other.

best thing you can do is go with 2 fans in a push pull configuration.

love my Vantage ALC. A little bit over your $100 price range, but I'm running at 4.0 GHz and 89F. The LED display is great, and it fits my viper heatsinks with a memory fan over it.

Get the corsair H50/H70. I managed to get 4.3GHz 1.34v, maximum temp was at 75-80C on LinX and IntelBurnTest.
