So I bought TF2... - Page 7

Call it cheesy, but it really does take a lot of coordination to play battle medics. I say that the Ubersaw is the best update weapon.

And speaking of coordination, I say that the game is best when you're playing with someone you know. You can work together to make a lot of things happen as a team, hence the game's name Team Fortress 2. Who would have thought medics could be used as an offensive class? To me, TF2 is more of a fun game than a competitive game. You either love it or you hate it.

TF2 has nothing to do with your skills on "real FPS". I play Counter Strike: Source just fine. Sorry, no $60 Black Ops for me.

TF2lobby.com

Stay away from 32 man servers is recommended. Playing TF2 competitively, I don't see how you guys can hate it so much. I highly recommend visiting TF2lobby.com and do a few games here and then you'll get an idea of how TF2 is meant to be played

There was a local Korean 'lan-party' aka pc-bang that me and my friends used to go to regularly. Most fun I've ever had: 12 man blindfolded crab spy race on Dustbowl.

There was some serious lol factor.

Well, actually TF2 is MEANT to be played with 12 man teams and no class restrictions. But I do enjoy lobby games and once you understand the mechanics of the game and would like a bit more coordination I do agree with you.

Class restrictions makes the game a bit more balanced in 6v6 (I mean, 4 heavy's won't help that much), but I quite hate it when larger pubs (16 man/32) place class restrictions because it isn't helping much at all

stick through it and learn the basics as its incredibly fun...especially once you become profecient with the alternate weapons, switching playstyles within characters is so fun

I just also just hopped on the $5 TF2 deal yesterday. Played it for a few hours or so. Found it pretty hard in those 24 or 32 man games when there is a crap load of demomans and soldiers spraying nades and rockets, but overall I kinda like the game so far. Just needs some time getting used to it.

Is there like an OCN TF2 server or something? Kinda bored playing by myself. :/

edit: I probably have some spare weapons to give you too if you'd like.
IEATFISH is a god on the servers XD I play TF2 from time to time and love it when IEATFISH is around.

Like he said, it takes practice and more practice. But even with practice I still suck ass and even then I don't care because I have a good time.

never once in my post said it was crap. I was attacking the general impression the game has given me, and if you read the rest of the thread you'd seen i played with ieatfish and he showed me the ropes.

Just got done playing with him and some other OCN member not too long ago. Had a blast now that I know what's going on. Loving that payload mode.

I don't know if it's just me, but I prefer only a few people..I hate 16 people on each team.Way too much chaos.I also don't like being on a team in general, thats maybe why I don't play tf2 that much.
It's just like in COD I like 1vs1 matches, everything else sucks ass for me.
