[Channel NewsAsia] iPhone 4 users, did your alarm go off today?

Some iPhone 4 users got off to a bad start in the New Year when the alarm function of their phones failed to go off, apparently due to a bug in the smart phone's operating system.

The problem was first reported in Australia and New Zealand, which were the first countries to ring in the New Year.

And complaints have come fast and furious on sites such as Twitter.

So Apple and Hotmail both failed to be Y2K11 compliant? Hmm...

The comment about Hotmail is from another news thread here on OCN. Makes me wonder what will happen next New Years! lol

Not a bug, a function.

New years day is usually a national holiday, and Steve just wanted everyone to have a lie-in that morning.

Thanks big guy!

I know you're being sarcastic, but I prefer choice. Plus, it's not a national holiday EVERYWHERE tongue.gif

Well, not for the emergency services I suppose.

As iced pointed out, this happened to android as well. But i see no news thread about that.

Heh, this happened with my girlfriends 3gs this morning, we both assumed that we'd simply slept through it, but even after our worst nights that alarm as woke us both up.

That's not ironic, it's targeted advertising.

Yes it did. I wish it didn't though, I didn't mean to leave the alarm on.

Wish I brought my Captivate back home with me so that I could get in on the Gingerbread fun frown.gif
