I would much rather myself send it in to Sapphire than bake it seeing as you still have a warranty.

Yea, that's what I am attempting to do. I just can't get a response from them. Anyone know how to RMA from Sapphire?

Make sure that all power connectors are plugged in, the card is seated all the way in, and that there isnt dust in the slot.

this is definitly an odd problem.... normally a dead gpu will send out no signal to the monitor. it is possible it is a driver issue, but even so windows will recognize the gpu as what it is 9 times out of 10. maybe its a corrupt windows install or something along those lines.... what i am gonna suggest is to pop the card in a different system and see what it does.

the problem can also be a seemingly unrelated other piece of hardware, maybe the ram, or even something on the motherboard itself, like the actual pci-e slot the card is installed in.... either way you will know nothing for sure until you have some more hardware to use in troubleshooting so you can eliminate some of the options you have been given.

Yes, this is why it is odd. It is like half working. The install was fine because it was working and then I dusted it and stopped working. So then I installed Windows again.

Yea, i'm worried about it being my C300 SSD or maybe the motherboard? The GPU fan goes on to like 100% at first and then after awhile it goes back to it's normal speed. Hmm.

Thanks.

GPU fan jumps... I think that thats in Bios.

I had a similair problem on my old dell unit. on start up the vid fan would wind up really high rpms. then the beeps would start, and blue screen.

I had to go in reset the bios to pci and reinstall drivers for the the card, a gt9500 i think...

Well I can't even install the damn drivers since the computer freezes. I don't know if a GPU can cause that or what.

My card did that once. The fan revved to full speed and then died down to normal. But that was because I forgot the PCI power. I have been having troubles with a 5770 I bought last week. Its crashes when its under full load in Furmark. 1280x1024, x8AA, Extreme burn mode. I'm trying the new 10.12a hotfix drivers. I'll let you know if it helps.

Sorry for double posting. Try resetting your CPU heat sink. it might not be your card that's causing the crash.

10.12a hotfix drivers are for 69xx series cards, And why are you stress testing your video card? Are you having problems playing games? Or are you overclocking it?
