Something wrong with my 5770. - Page 4

I bought it used and the guy I bought it from said it would lock up his system when it hit 67-68C.

I just assumed the higher the number the better. Oops. I guess I'll go back to the 10.10e.

Does 10.12a work? I just thought they where for the new 69xx cards.

It installed and didn't give me errors. So I guess it worked.

I'm not sure if you've done this yet or not, but go into safemode when you boot up and delete the driver manually using device manager. Once that is done, restart and try to boot into windows. If everything seems normal install CCC 10.12 and hopefully that fixes you're problem. If something is still screwed up, try swapping out the card for something else or move it to another spot temporarily to see if its the actual card that is fried or if its the other pci slot that is crapping out. Good luck man!

i doubt its dead from just cleaning, make sure like others have said, that there is no dust in the pci-e slot and make sure u didn't knock anything loose.like a cap or some thing like that.

Reinstall OS might be worth a shot.
