i5 760 OC 4,6GHz help needed - Page 3

I need 1.43 VTT for 4.6Ghz roughly but my system is well unstable.

hmm, i've tried with 1.40 for VTT and 1,55V for CPU (1,506V was the reading actually).

So it's possible that the mbo can not support that OC?

It probably can but it gets real tricky for me once i pass 4.4 frown.gif

It has been said before, you're aiming WAY too high.
Get it rock-solid stable at 4.0 first. Run Prime95 for a night, and LinX for about a 100 runs.
You keep messing around with way too high voltages, and you're not testing properly.
Also your temp sensors are not right. 15 degrees is impossible on air unless it's near 0 in your room.
A load temp of 40 is nonsense too..

I'm trying to figure out what's the limit, i'm using cold outside air to cool it, outside it's like 4-5C and I've opened the window and put the pc near it, so the temp ambient is below 10C. Maybe i hit a MBO bottleneck, that's what i think, coz this CPU can go higher, that would not be a surprise since the P7P55D pro is a budget MBO

so I'm contacting some other forum members that achieve 4,6 on an i5 750 and same mobo.

I can boot with 4.5GHz and do a SPi 32M in less then 9min
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1570475

but when I open WPrime it fails at about 5-6%

how is this related to the CPU and RAM clocks??

If you have LLC off on a P7P55D Series board you are doing it wrong. This boards were made to run with LLC enabled. Also, when I was doing some benching last week, more vcore not always mean more stable, in fact I was being unstable due to too high vcore.

wPrime is multithread so it's cpu related 100% sure.
Did you try with different pci-e frequency? Past 212bclk my p7p55d premium requires 104 pcie mhz and past 215 some cpu differential amplitude.
