Help me with my Megahalems?

Thread Starter
I bought one off of here for 40$, and he had two, I guess one was lapped and the other was stock, he thought I wanted the lapped one and sent me the lapped one, I heard it increases temps by a few degrees Celsius, am I wrong?
I don't wanna lap my i7 930 to match the heatsink base neither. D:
and BTW! im going to use two coolermaster sickleflow 120mm's in a push/pull format, will that be fine?

it decreases temps by a few degrees if done correctly

It flattens out the HSF base, so it makes better contact with the cpu

And you dont have to lap your cpu tongue.gif

Sounds like you got a nice deal - if the lapping was done right. Check it out with a razor blade.

If you still need to get fans, check out item 1 in my sig.

The reflections look flat.

AS5 takes 200 hours to set, with your rig turned off and on, according to the AS website.

Do check out this 80-way TIM review. I personally like the low viscosity of the Gelid GC-Extreme. Note that all of the SVC TIM's ship for free.

I know about the cure time, but it still cools pretty much the same give or take a 3 degrees Celsius, and plus, I already ordered it D: I've used it multiple times and really liked it.
