Interim Video Upgrade

Thread Starter
I have been lurking off an on for a little while and now I have come seeking advice.

I'm looking to replace my old Radeon HD3650 (PCIE, 1GB DDR2 memory, stock cooling) card with ultimately a 5870 or 6870 but until I can build a new case that is big enough to fit the new foot long cards that is on hold.

So for $100-$150 I looking for a card that can hold me over for a little while until my budget opens up, another thing I'm looking at is something that I can overclock and see a measurable effect besides 5-7 fps higher than stock as I see with my current card.

Just a overview of my questions:
Newish card for $100-$150
Good Overclock prospects
Less than 9.75 inches long

Any help is appreciated and if I have made a mistake I meant no offense.

Look at the Ati 5770, they can be found for 130 on Newegg. Most of them overclock pretty well and can handle most of the new games on high settings.

If you are waiting for your budget to open up to buy an "even better card," why not wait until you have the money so you don't sink 150$ in a mid-range card.
