5550 is not remotely on par with a 4670/3870, loses about 1000 on Vantage comparatively.

Those things aren't Physx capable, amirite?

If yes, get a new one and use it for Physx if you have a second slot. In the more likely case it isn't Physx, get a new one anyway.

Edit: Yeah, along with a new card, you should get more ram (3gb+ total) and a bigger hard drive. And in the long term, maybe Core 2 Duo or Quad. Pentium dual cores will barely get along with anything anymore.

borderline really, if u had it at 3.6-4 GHZ you would gain alot of FPS. Its still a good chip.

some would say upgrade it to a e8400 which is more powerful and overclocks like a dream.

but for what ur doing, a e5200 and a 5570 should be fine. e8400 and GTS 450 if u want to be ok for a good while.

cpu's are overratted.
I have played crysis on a 1.3ghz socket A duron.

My secondary gaming rig use to be a 2.4ghz single core athlon.
It played games very well, because it had a good video card in it.

Your cpu won't make that much of a difference because you aren't running really high end stuff, or games. so you are fine.

Yes it is.Agreat upgrade would be like a used 8800gt for 50 bucks. If you could find a deal on a new 5670 you would be set.
