Wont OC AT ALL

Well I got some newish stuff for my pc, Now its a total custom build, anyways, Whenever i try to over clock it at ALL, itll post, but it wont boot up, Any ideas? EDIT, Its a M61PME-S2P and a AMD 7750 Black edition

It's likely that the overclock is either a) Too high or b) Unstable because of low voltage.

However, I wouldn't advise overclocking on a stock heatsink, especially if you are still learning how to overclock.

Some motherboards will actually under volt if you are not careful- set the voltage to the stock setting manually and see if this still happens.

Also- it is possible to overclock a bit on stock cooling. What temperatures are you running?

Bump up vcore by two notches and see what that'll do for you.
And before you go more than a couple hundred megahertz, get yourself a good aftermarket cooler
