just started folding... on my 2nd or 3rd WU right now but it takes so long to complete... anyway i can speed this up? i want to start getting bonus points lol

btw what is advmethods? should i add that flag? i only have -smp right now

Wow 4th time I see this question in 2 days.
The first 10 units are the same as all the other units, you get them at random.

Just going to have to chug through them.

Having the -smp flag is all you need.

ahhh ok, thanks, sorry for the noob question lol

will bonus points be automatic or is there something i need to change after 10th WU

and... does different WU give different PPD? only getting 7k with my 1090t.. first one was like 5k

PPD is calculated based on how your CPU is pushing though the WU's, so a more complex WU being completed faster or slower will be the PPD amount.

Atleast from what I understand, that's how it works.

Automatic it is calculated on there servers.

Yup there is a good amount of work units that will give you a different amount of PPD.
Check this PPD Database for some info on different units and CPUs used.

And don't worry about asking "noob questions" it just helps me catch up to our Irish editor in post count.

Are you doing anything else with your PC while the 1090T is folding?

Those numbers are low.

I get 9K on the rubbish P6701 and around 14K on the happy Pxxxx [whatever number they are] (I've got all P6701/2's at the moment ), and that's with a Fermi folding with it

If you were unstable it would cause an error in the WU, and it would fail.

Chances are your GTX570 needs a lot more CPU time than my GTS450, but it just seems like a big drop to me
