I have a LG w2442pa-bf and my windows are not in HD they are currently big and fuzzy looking. I installed the drivers they went HD for a while then went back to big and goofy looking. when i play games it is HD my operating system is in HD just not the windows. Google chrome, steam itunes look big and droky. any suggestions would be nice.

This.

Then double check your scaling options and your hertz. You should probably be running 60Hz
Maybe you're running in 1080i instead of 1080p?

EDIT: soz i just saw it's in the OP.
are you on VGA or DVI? try running DVI or HDMI and set the res to 1080P, and make sure cleartype or similar isn't on

Try the monitor on another system, if it does 1080 fine then use driver sweeper and re-install the drivers. Are you using DVI/VGA/HDMI for connecting the display?

If you have to correct resolution, the hertz is what is making it blurry.

Hit the "Auto" button on your monitor. It should make it clear again. If not, I believe there an option in the monitor's menu called "Fine-Tune". Adjust it.

Edit: Upon actually reading your posts, I saw that you said images come up clear on IE but not Chrome, and Steam is blurry on your desktop, but not in game? That makes it sound like a software issue, and in that case a screen-shot would show the problem. Take a screen-shot and then upload it so we can see it.

Edit 2: I think I might know what it is.... Right click your desktop and choose "Screen Resolution". Then click "Make text and other items larger or smaller", now set it back to 100% if it's not already. It will prompt you to re-log or reboot, do so.
